Anyone heard of voter caging before? Apparently the republicans stopped doing it in the 80's, but they started doing similar things in the 2000 election and there is evidence that they (criminally) engaged in it in 2004 and there's some evidence they're using it to steal 4.5 million votes from the 2008 election. Here's an interesting stat from a NYtimes opinion article: The top 1 percent now takes home about 20 percent of total national income. As recently as 1980, it took home 8 percent. The last time the top 1 percent took home 20 percent of national income, not incidentally, was 1928.

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified. Apparently

the right wing knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting

with YES votes.



The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by mainstream media. It

can influence undecided voters in swing states.

Charlie Rose is one of my favorite TV shows. Here's an interview he did recently with Warren Buffett (who is a Democrat, btw.)

He explains why the bail out is necessary and why Bush's tax plan was/is/always will be...stupid.

He actually comes across as pretty up beat.
